I loved the Irish names Eithne and NiamNeve but spelled thnya and Nbecause we live in America and thought it would be easier for our English speaking children to learn how to spell their names if it followed the English language rules. NiamhI still love the Irish spellings and regret it but my daughters LOVE their names and don’t want them spelled differently. Hope this helps.
