I voted for Erik cause I think if surname ends in K it’ll look better eg

Eric Dirk vs Erik Dirk.. Idk I just find it more exotic and visually appealing with a k

Our 4th son is Eric. He seldom gets asked how it’s spelled, but we know an Erik whose name always gets spelled with a -c. Not sure if that matters to you. I’m a college professor and years ago I had a student named Erich, which I thought looked kind of cool. But for simplicity and less misspelling, go with Eric.
