Hayden/Hayes vs. Boy/girl twins vs. Other options besides Hayden.

My maiden name is Hayes. Thoughts on Hayes for a little boy? Also, he has a twin sister that will be joining him in this world. Hayden comes to mind and it is cute. Yet husband and I were talking and want something maybe little bit less unisex, less common and it a bit softer. Any ideas? We want there names to be similar in sound and spelling "corny I know but :)" Thanks

Hayes is great on a boy. I agree Hayden on the sister would seem like two boys.
Hayes and Holly.
Hayes and Haley
Hayes and Hannah
Hayes and Hadley. (Unisex yes but I think it leans more feminine)

I love Hayes for a boy! But I think that Hayden may be a little bit too similar to it. I know you said you want the names n=to be close is sound and spelling but I would go with a name that is similar to Hayes in sound. Them being close in sound and spelling is a little too much in my opinion and could get more confusing for them. Or just go with 2 H names. What about..

Hayes and Hazel
Hayes and Harlow
Hayes and Heidi
Hayes and Haley/Hailey
Hayes and Hallie
Hayes and Holli
Hayes and Holland
Hayes and Hannah
Hayes and Haven
Hayes and Harley
Hayes and Hadley

I love Hayes for both a lil boy and a grown man. I love it even more that it is your maiden name too. For his twin sissy, I agree Hayden is quite unisex in sound.
I do love the sound of Hayes and Halle, which is as close in look/sound/# of letters you can get. Other suggestions you may like are

Helen
Haven
Honora
Hilda
Hera
Hermione
Hypatia
Hillary
Hattie
Harietta
Havana
Hadasah
Hester
Hanneli
Hannelore

My nephew is Hayden nn ahahes so I’m clearly going to say no to that combo. Besides, I see Hayden as a boy’s name anyways. I also don’t like when multiples have the same initial. The first combo that comes to mind is Hayes and Stella. I also think Hayes would be nice with Faith, Alexis, Elsa, Olivia, Delia, Celia, Abby, Bria, Carys, Eden, Gigi, Isla, Kenna, Lena, Margo, Noelle, Paige, Quinn, Reese, Vera, or Zoey.
