middle name for a GIRL names vs. Marty or vs. Marnie

I love these two names: Marty and Marnie for my daughter but I’m torn. I really want a Mar- name for her thats unusual. This is after my mother, Marcia (Marsha). I don’t like Marilyn or Martina, or Marlene or anything like that. I know that most people consider Marty too masculine for a girl but I don’t. And to the people who say what if she doesnt like it, then she cam change it when she’s 18. Any middle names for Marty and Marnie? I perfer Marty out of the two. I don’t mind if Marty’s a double barrel name. Thanks.

Marin is a nice alternative but i’d go for Marnie I love it. also, for Marty, Martha would be a nice full name.

Marnie all the way. Although if her name is Marnie and she has a middle name that begins with T her nickname could still be Marty and you could use both! Think about it :)

Martha is out. It’s my cousin’s dog’s name. I dont like Martina. I’ll think about the Marnie T____ "Marty". Thank you for the suggestion.

Julianne, I’m not gonna name her after my mom for the following reasons:
1) As much as I love my mom I hate the name Marcia (Marsha)
2) it helps ease confusion on my family. We have 5 Michaels in my family and I know having two Marcia’s wouldn’t help the confusion
3) my great grandma gets all of our names mixed up enough so again same thing with Michael....too confusing.

Have you considered Marlo, Margo, or Mariel? Personally, I don’t care for Marty as her given name, only if it were a nickname for Martina, which you don’t like. I like the suggestion of Marin (or Maren). Also, how about Maris?
