Blye vs. Yes vs. No

I have fallen in love with the name Blye for my daughter but I could really do with some opinions. It’s an English name derived from Blythe and which I think is more spunky and unusual. Possible middle names are Katherine, Victoria, Elizabeth, Isabella, Seraphina, Vivienne, Astrid, Ophelia, Nerida and Minerva although I accept all suggestions. Thank you!

I prefer Blythe. Bly to me sounds incomplete.

Well, if you must...I think Blye sounds best with either Seraphina, Astrid, or Nerida (did you mean Merida)?

I voted no. It sounds incomplete, and Blyth is uncommon and spunky enough without having to seek out derivations of it. If you absolutely positively love it, then who am I to tell you that you can’t use it. But in my honest opinion it sounds strange when said aloud and people might mistake it for the word bye.
Not trying to offend you, just being honest.

Thank you for your feedback! I’ll certainly take it into consideration, I hadn’t thought about the Blye/ Bye thing. Poster 2, I meant Nerida. It’s a Greek name meaning ’sea nymph’. Thank you!

My order of preference:

Blythe Nerida (never heard that name before, but it’s really pretty)
Blythe Seraphina
Blythe Astrid

You can totally nn her Blye if you want, but Blythe as a given name just sounds more complete to me. GL!

All I get is Captain Bligh, from that, not a great association, Blythe is SO much more attractive

I like all of your middle names except Nerida and Minerva. In my opinion, what sounds best with Blythe is Vivienne or Seraphina.

Blythe Elizabeth, Blythe Ophelia & Blythe Vivienne are my favorites.
