I’m sorry, but she will get teased so much. Azalea is an okay name but Okra just reminds me of the food.

Okra is a veggie....but then again, so is Kale

Please no. Okra is a good. It’s like naming a child Taco. Shamu is an orca, or killer whale.

actually Oakra was my grandmothers name, she went by Oakie. We are honoring her. I can’t stand her middle name so we decided to go with Oakra/Okra

I misread the first comment sorry. I thought it said Ocra the Whale.

Use it as a middle name

I really dislike Okra/Oakra. If you are tuly honoring your grandma then I would either spell it the same way she did (Oakra) or go with something similar like Oakley.
And, honestly, I’d pick Oakley over Oakra.

No offense. It’s a terrible name.

I could possibly do Oakley, but we liked all 3 girls ending in A

Go with the original spelling if you are honoring your grandmother. You could also honor her by given a similar name, like the more popular Oakley. Alona and Aiken are some names, that are still unusual, with oak-related meanings. Okoro is another name for okra the vegetable, if that is the connection you’re going for. Also, one of the genus names for okra is Hibiscus, which reminds more of the lovely flower of the okra plant than its food pod. Good luck, and of course, disregard this if it is unhelpful. :)

I like Alona and Hibiscus, but Hibiscus don’t end in A and we really like all 3 girls ending in A
