Berkley vs. Berkeley

I made a poll a few days ago and the results were so close it didn’t give me a clear picture on how we should spell our baby girls name. Berkley or Berkeley. I like both, I like the simplicity of Berkley and therefore it’ll be easy to spell and pronounce but I think Berkeley looks more feminine. Could you please help us out? Thanks so much!

Berkeley looks like it should be ’bark-eh-lee’ rather than just Bark-lee (which is how assume this name is said?)

It’s pronounced just as it is spelt, Berk-Lee.

Have you ever considered the spelling Berklee or Berkliegh. The second does look more feline but I’m all for simplicity, but if it’s too masculine for you try another spelling.

Sorry I meant feminine and that I’m all for simplicity but not if it conflicts with my other desires

Okay, in any case, this is a horrific name for a girl. It looks like something you would name a male dog. If you insist on saddling your child with this, at least spell it properly, the name the city is spelled, which is Berkeley.

Like the city, Berkeley.
