Aralyn looks the best and will get the pronouciation you want.

I think no matter how you spell it this name is going to be butchered in both spelling and pronunciation. Might as well go with what is the most visually pleasing to the eye, which for me is Aralyn.

What about Eirlys? It means "snow drop" in Welsh. ("EHR-lis")

I wasn’t be rude. People (especially in America) are terrible with pronunciations. My sister is Kaylee. Pretty straightfordward. She gets called Callie and Kylie non stop by teachers, friends, relatives and her name is constantly spelled wrong as well.I would imagine an Aralyn/ Eirlynn/Arilin would go through something similar. No matter how you spell "Air-a-lyn" at least 50% of the people you meet are going to get in spelling pronunciation or both. Its her name so you really have to think about what is going to be easiest for her to go through life with. In my opinion that is Aralyn.

Poster 12: True, but I think everyone worries too much about the pronouncability and simplification of names. Example, my name is Eunakai Marilou. Everyone pronounces it wrong at first. I correct them. Then they pronounce it correctly. Everyone spells it wrong at first. I correct them. Then they spell it correctly. No biggie. And I love not being named Emma or Linda or Mary.

Eiralyn for the pronunciation you’re wanting. I would say Aralyn like are-ah-lyn. I do think people put a lot of weight on simplifying spellings, but I also think that it is important to think about that for the child. Not everyone is easy going about having to correct people all the time. I had to correct people on both spelling and pronunciation and it got to the point where I hated my name so much I kept telling my parents I was going to change it. I have just gotten to a point where I’m okay with it. Even if you are okay with correcting people all the time your child may not be. Just something to think about. I do think a lot of people will say/spell it wrong no matter how you spell it.

I LOVE Aralyn Oliva! Super beautiful! Eiralyn is also super cute, but I defintely like Aralyn best! I also like Airalyn. It’s on my list for girl names!! Defintely super adorable!!
