Leslie is my grandfather’s names and I would love to honor him by naming my daughter after him. Her middle name will be Jean after my grandmother. I need a nickname for Leslie that isn’t Les or Lee-Lee... Something cute and girly!

My mom’s name is Leslie and she ended up getting her nickname from her middle name (so that’s not helpful). She could always be called ’LJ’ for her initials - but I am partial to initial nicknames. I think there is a trend with ’older’ names coming back, so I wouldn’t worry about her getting picked on about the name.

Lela or Leah would work. However, Leslie is a perfectly acceptable gender neutral name that doesn’t require a nn unless there will be confusion among the family.
