Maeve Eden vs. Mavie (pro’ - Mayvee) Eden
eeeeek down to the final 2! Its so close! We love both! Im swaying to Mavie as it is 2 syllables & softer. Please vote and write opinion why. Mavie means - songbird. Maeve means - she who intoxicates (also Celtic stories of Queen Maeve). I think i like the meaning of Mavie better too! Be honest - and go! :)

Mavie is really cute, but I don’t think it goes well with Lenny.

Hi! I love your name choices! They are both so short and sweet- adorable! Your baby girl will have a beautiful name with either choice. My advice to you would be to think it out... take a couple of days and envision which name bestows your daughter the most. You can certainly take the advice this poll brings you- but it is ultimately up to YOU!
Again, remember that this is your daughter and the name only designs her, not defines her. Good luck!

Maeve nicknamed Mavie seems to be the most obvious solution?
Meave is more formal than Mavie so I think it’s better as a first name for all situations, but Mavie is a really nice nickname and there’s no reason not to use it most of the time if you’d like.
And for the response ’you may as well just name her Mavie if you’re going to call her that all the time’ - not really, I go by Caz almost all the time at work and at home, but I’m still pleased my name is formally Caroline.

Maeve nn Mavie. I think Maeve will age with her better with her in her professional life. I can’t really picture a doctor/lawyer going by Mavie. If you go with Maeve you could call her Mavie and then she could pick which one to go by when she is older.
