Alexander vs. Atticus vs. Evander

Thanks for suggestions! So far the only name we truly love is Alexander (nn Xan?) but we think it might be too common compared to our two daughters, Astoria ’Story’ (7) and Arcadia ’Cady’ (4). We like Atticus but we do love nicknames and there isn’t really for Atticus. Evander I like the sound of but my husband is quite sure about it. Feel free to suggest other names. We think we might want a name that starts with A but it isn’t necessary, we do want a name that has a nickname though! Thanks for the help! Abigail, Jordan, Story, Cady, & baby boy

I grew up down the street with a little boy named Atticus actually, and I’ve always thought it was very handsome and sweet. He always went by Kit, which I think it adorable! Story, Cady (both names of which I love, by the way) and Kit is very nice.

I’ve also heard Kit used for Atticus! I think Atticus has the best feeling for Astoria and Arcadia ^^

You have great taste in names. I think Alexander is fine, so use it if that’s your favorite name. But if you’re still concerned about the names not going together ( I do think that Alexander does not go quite as well with the girls’ names as your other choices) I love Atticus and if you like Kit I think it’s a great nickname. Evander goes nicely too. You could use Andy, Anders or Evan as nicknames. Good luck.
