Middle names vs. For Allie

I’m expecting any day now and we’ve chosen Allie for the fn....we don’t like the idea of using a formal name and making Allie a nn....we just like Allie. As for middle names we wanted to use Ann after my grandmother but we only like Anna and Annabelle....which don’t go the greatest with Allie. Another mn we like is Lena after my husbands mom who’s name is Leigh. Other mn suggestions welcomed. Thanks!

she will thank you if you give her a more formal name and use Allie as the nick name. When i was born my mom called me Suzie but thanks to my grandmother harassing her, Suzanne was written on my birth certificate. The family called me Suzie from day one and still do but when i started working i introduced myself as Suzanne and that is what all my work mates and friends call me. I prefer Suzanne now that i am an adult.
Allie might feel the same way someday so give her an option like Allison, Alexandra, Alayna, Alana.

I was born Amanda and from day 1 I’ve been called Mandy ...most my family doesn’t even know my legal name is Amanda....but unlike you I hated having to explain to everyone who Mandy is bc my mother refuses to call me Amanda...I feel like if she didn’t like Amanda she should have named me Allie....Like I put in my other post this is a small country town... not a lot of professions to pick from here....so I don’t think she will mind Allie since I would be like my mother was and not call her by anything else bc I don’t like anything else! I think that times are changing and with all the updated and weird names these days Allie isn’t gonna to stand out...and besides anywho in the professional world who doesn’t take you seriously bc of ur name probably just doesn’t like you bc ur a woman...or bc ur job skills....a name should have anything to do with that!

How do you turn the thing off on a cell that writes the words for you? Like if I put mn with an s it changes it to minutes....it keeps changing some of my words that don’t even make sense! .....Does anyone have mn ideas?

What about Allie Leanne or Allie Leandra?
posted by guest :: 16 years ago | report
We don’t like Leanne...We really wanted to name after family but I think were giving up on that....my doctor thinks it will be any day now...im already having mild contractions so a name is important....Allie is for sure now....so what’s the best possiable mn to go with it....maybe make it sound a little for formal?

Allie Elizabeth, Allie Katherine, Allie Suzanne. All would make Allie sound a bit more formal.
