I’m really not fond of it. Not only does it seem low rent but the meaning is terrible. It’s Heaven backwards, so the opposite of Heaven. I really don’t like the idea of a nice little kid named after the underworld.

It’s not the opposite of heaven, that would be hell.
I don’t think it’s terrible, but I wouldn’t use it. I’ve heard worse: Harper,for example.

Really??? Harper is no way near a terrible name. Terrible names are ones that are made up or use different letters in place of others.

I don’t like Neveah because it’s become too popular. And I’m a huge fan of nicknames but this one doesn’t really have any nickname options.

Yes, I hate it. My perspective is that this is the type of name you get when you allow a 16 year old to name a baby. It is so silly and juvenile to take a word, then spell it backward to get a name. Another reason I hate the name is because I have heard at least 3 different pronunciations of it: NEE-vuh; nuh-VAY-uh; NEV-ee-ah. Naming your child this is just asking for trouble and judgment.

Harper is not a terrible name. I’ve heard much worse.
Nevaeh is one of them. Just like all the -Leigh ending names on girls or weird spellings for example Alivia.

Exactly, that’s what some of the previous posters were saying. When you spell a name backwards, you give it the opposite meaning. Like Enola, the opposite of alone, though that name fell out of favor after a plane named after a woman (the Enola [removed]) was used to drop the first atomic bomb. The reasoning behind using Enola was the meaning "not alone" or the opposite of alone. Same thing with Nevaeh. The opposite of heaven. So hell. I really don’t like the name.

I absolutely hate the name Nevaeh. It was very trendy, in the same way names like Destiny were trendy, and now those are stripper names. I don’t like the "word spelled backwards" name thing either. It’s just not a name at all in my opinion. Also, what if the kid turns out not to be religious (or of a heaven believing religion), but carrying a name that has that heavy connotation. I also do not think it is pretty at all.

I am so with this last poster! Destiny and neveah, two of my least fave names. Ever. I don’t like neveah because it feels made up and ridiculous. People don’t even name their kids heaven, so why name them a word that is heaven backwards.
