Mowgli vs. Middle vs. Name?.
My husband and I thought we would let our boys choose our next babies name considering we are completely stumped and it would create a nice bond. However they watched the jungle book and now they’re only going with Mowgli!. I love the name but I feel like it would be okay if I was a celeb but clearly I am not. Would it be okay for a mn or should I just forget it and make them choose another?.
The Top Baby Name is...
Mowgli
Middle
Name?.

Well, that’s a hard question, I’m not sure if I would use it as a middle or have them choose a different name.
Maybe you should explain to them why you are unsure about using Mowgli and ask if they have any other ideas.
That’s so funny about the Jungle Book, I was just going to say that but then I read the rest of your post! LOL

Choose a different name! Make a list of you and your husband’s favorites and let them narrow it down to 2 or 3 and then as a whole pick your favorite.

It’s Baloo in the jungle book :( I asked them and they came up with Anakin or however you spell it so that great! My kids choose fictional names. Some over options we have had are Rex and Ben10. At least they’re imaginative? 😂

It’s me agian, so I see the boys’ have come up with some even better names LOL 1) I would come up with a list and have the boys narrow it down to 3 or 4 then pick one as a whole like the poster said above and 2) would you consider Ben names such as Benjamin, Bennett, Bentley, Colben, or even just Ben. The boys could call him affectionately Ben10

We aren’t too keen on Ben names. Our boys are Kion (Kai-on) and Micah (Mike-ah). I posted a few threads before this looking for some more ’normal’ names.

I don’t think it’s a good idea, specially for a first name.

Don’t use Mowgli. Give them a list of names you like and let them choose from that.

As a full first name Mowgli is a non-starter, sorry. Definitely middle name only material, or ***maybe*** a nickname for something real like Magnus.
However Rex is fantastic. I wish it were used more. So if your still set on letting your kids choose the name and you like it too, then I would use Rex. It’s obviously a name in its own right, but can also be a nickname for any name with "king" in the meaning / association: Arthur, Rory, Rhodri ("ROE-dree"), Brennus, Rordan, Melchior ("MEL-kee-or"), Ryan, Reginald, etc. Good luck! :0)

Only as a nickname. I wouldn’t want it to be at the top of my future resume and have it look credible.
