Cute! :) It might be a wee bit too close toe Adelyn. Maybe something similar like Ella would work better. But it’s not that close, I think it could work.

Elodie is the French form of Alodia which is possibly from a Visigothic name derived from the Germanic elements alja "other, foreign" and aud "riches, wealth".

Beautiful name, but check your sources. Many websites create meanings for names that they prefer. Behind the Name is the most reliable source. In case you were unaware, Lachlan was originally a Scottish nickname for a person who was from Norway, and Adelyn means "noble."

Yes, Elodie means foreign riches in French. It’s originally a Greek name after St. Alodia. It’s also a pink lily. And means flower in a field. It all depends on which language meaning we look at.
