Dax vs. Dexter vs. Dex

Hello! We love the names Dex and Dax, but can’t figure out if they’re good enough as a standalone name. That’s why I threw Dexter in there with a nn Dex. We aren’t exactly sold on the name Dexter but we would love any comments on these three names!!

Dax Shepherd the actor has had no problems with his name so I think Dax could be stand alone. I do like Daxton nn Dax as well.
I’m not a fan of Dex or Dexter.

Dexter nn Dex gets my vote. Cool and handsome! Also with a more formal option.

Dax it alright but I prefer the sound of Dex. You could use Daxton as a full name if you wanted.

I was also going to suggest Daxton. I think Daxton nn Dax is my favorite, but you can’t really go wrong.

Definitely not Dex on its own. But Dax is kind of a spunky name.

I think Dexter is the best with the nn Dex
