River is genuinely unisex. I love it for any gender and OP has stated that it is set in stone.

I like River Grace best. I don’t like Gracelynn, it just doesn’t feel right - too much of a smush. I like River Jade (prefer it without a superfluous Y) but I think River Grace is prettier.

River is overly used for both boys and girls at the moment. In school, will the child be called River+#__ or River + first letter of last name.

I love when people say things like "it’s extremely popular" and make fun of what they’ll be called in school. what about all those kids named mason and Luke ? Wonder what they’re called.
As original poster stated, it’s set in stone.
