Quinn - full name vs. Quinn - nickname

So Quinn has been our boy name pick forever. But now I’m seeing that lots of girls are being named Quinn, which seems really odd to me. Should we just go with Quinn or would it be better for him if we named him a different name that could have Quinn has a nickname? My nephew is named Quinton nn Quinn. His parents had the same dilemma and mom wanted Quincy but dad thought it was too feminine so they settled on Quinton.

It would be better not to use Quinn. It’s becoming more and more common among parents who like unisex names for girls.

Using Quinn as a middle name for a boy is ok. It will look more like a last name.

If you like the name go ahead and use it, it’s fine for a boy and at this point no name is safe from the boys names on girls trend.

As a unisex name, Quinn is perfectly fine on boys. If people say that unisex names aren’t good on boys, then the names aren’t really unisex.

I know a Quinn boy he’s seven. It’s boyish too me but I only like super girly long girl names not trendy unisex names that belongs to boys

I know a boy named Quinlan who goes by Quinn sometimes. I’ve become something of a fan of the name Quinlan since knowing him.
