Joan was my favorite aunt’s name. Joan / Joanie has deep roots in my heart. Joni would be nice too. I dislike the Jonie spelling. ("Johnny?" "No. Joe-nee.") Good luck! :0)
It sounds kind of dated, but I think it is due for a comeback and would be very cute on a little girl.

Joanie because it will definitely be said correctly, but will expect her name to be Joan and Joanie to be a nickname.
