Opinions On vs. Locket(t) ???

How do y’all feel about using the word Locket as a name? Is it too weird or does it work well? Would using the more surname type spelling of Lockett make it better or worse? We’re hinking for a girl but could it work on a boy due to its similarity to the name Laughlin? If you do like the name, middle name suggestions? Does it go well with our surname, James? If you hate the name could you leave us some similar in sound/feel names? Thanks much- G&M James

I don’t personally care for it for either gender BUT if I were to use I would use for a boy.
Beckett would be a nice alternative.

Maybe as a quirky middle name for either gender, but Locket seems strange to me as a first name, especially if there is no reason behind choosing it other than sound. I think it would be an annoying name to have to explain.

I would think of it as Lockett a boy’s name. Locket is like the piece of jewelry.

I love it. You don’t hear enough newer names like these!! I like it spelled as Lockett and as a boys name!
