Xavier vs. Exavier vs. Exavior

I have a 3 year old little boy Evander John and we are having another baby boy very soon. I just wanted thoughts on his name. We plan on naming him Xavier but spelling it Exavier or Exavior. Please tell me what you think. I personally prefer Exavier though we do need help with middle name ideas. I think Evander and Exavier are stunning together and adding the E to Xavier makes it a rate name and Evander is also a rate name. Please just comment what you think and if it is negative try not to be rude.

It’s not the official spelling, but if you love it use it. Some may not know how to pronounce it. Congrats on your baby!

Also, I would use Exavier over Exavior.

The E looks ridiculous.

Xavier. Evander and Xavier are still stunning together. The E added to it will get dropped off every time the kids name is written without being seen. It’s unnecessary.

I think adding an E to Xavier is not a good idea. It doesn’t make the name better, but it will make it look made up. And when it is evident that his older brother is Evander, it will look like poor Exavier got stuck with a name that was created just for the simple fact that it made it look more like his brother’s. Xavier. It’s fine as is. Don’t try to fix something that isn’t broken. Also, if you’re going to call him Xavier anyway, what is the purpose of the E?

The E on Xavier does not make sense. The name still sounds the same so just spell it correctly. If having a matching initial is of such great importance find another E name. Everett, Edmund, Evan, Elijah, and so on. There are a lot of good ones to decide from. I like Xavier too.

I know this is an old thread, but Xavier ( pronounced with a Z not EX ) is a beautiful name and one that really grates on me like nails running down a chalkboard when it is pronounced Exavier. It's like the child was once Zavier, but is no longer....he is now EXavier.
