Are you serious? Do you really want to name your baby after the god of sexual desire and attraction? Eros was not just the god of love. Sounds a little pornographic to me. Sorry to be so blunt but it just sounds gross to name a baby something that means sexual desire. How about Apollo instead? Apollo Kade, Apollo Kirk, Apollo Kai

I agree with Simone. My first thought when I read this was that a baby doesn’t need a name that has sexual connotations. I like the suggestion of Apollo Kai. Sounds much stronger to me. Eros is also the name of sexual lubricant, just so you know.

Thanks, Connie and Simone for your judgmental comments. This baby will grow up to be an adult. He won’t be a baby his entire life. Eros means love in Greek not sex. Our familiarity is with the love aspect. And FYI there is a lubricant called Simone 😘

And I didn’t choose Simone to be my name, although I have heard about the lubricant with the same name. But you have a chance to give your baby a name that won’t embarrass him at certain times in his life. I am just saying that the name sounds too sexy for a baby. I understand that babyhood is short compared to adulthood, but still. I am sure you will have a beautiful, well loved baby no matter what his name is, but at least think about what he will have to go through carrying a name like that. I wasn’t trying to be judgemental. I’m simply offering my opinion. Good luck with your precious baby boy :)

I apologize that I read your comment with a tone that wasn’t there. We love the name because we feel it’s unique and handsome and means love. We will take your comment into consideration. And the point I was making regarding the lubricant is that there are probably negative connotations that could be associated with every name but the individual makes the name.
