Elianne vs. Eliana vs. Elena

Hi, we really need some help! We are currently weeding through names, and just need some opinions. First, we do not want popular names, but we want classic names. So Elena, we would pronounce ellen-ah. Just think it is pretty. Eliana we pronounce ellie-aw-nah which means "my God has answered" has special meaning since we lost our first pregnancy, and are thrilled to be pregnant again. Finally Elianne, pronounced Ellie-in, is the French version of Eliana, and it is a family name. Please Help!!!!

I’ve always loved Elena with the Ellen-ah pronunciation! It feels so classy and a bit exotic.

Elianne is definitely the least popular choice, but none of them are in the top 1000 (there are only 3 spaces between Eliana - 103 and Elena - 106).

I think Elena is stunning.

Eliana is the stand out to me. Beautiful and the meaning is a huge plus

Of the three, I prefer Eliana and Elianne simply because I think they’re less common than Elena and that most people will pronounce Elena "Eh-lay-na" the first time before you correct them. Also because they have a higher meaning for you personally (which is amazing). Of the two, I’d go with Eliana (personal preference), however, the additional family connection of Elianne is a strong factor.

Maybe choose your favorite and then keep the second favorite in retainer so that when she’s born and you hold her if you feel the first name doesn’t fit (it happens sometimes) you have a backup!
