Thank you for the suggestions, but I don’t really like the sound of Mirabel/Mirabelle. It sounds too cutesy to me. Unfortunately, Mirasol sounds like a cleaner to me. :(

Love Miranda.
Like others, Mirabel / Mirabelle / Mirabella (= miracle) was the first to pop to mind. Others that you might like:
Casimira / Kasimira / Kazimira
Samira
Almira
Miracle / Milagro
Palmira
Edelmira / Elmira
Radomira
Amira / Amira
Zvonimira
Anamaria
Demetria
Miriam
Mireille / Mireia / Mireya
Zemfira
The last ones need some imagination. I erred on the side of inclusion. Good luck! :0)

P.S. Mira can stand on its own very well too. The full name is still optional if nothing *feels* right. :0)
Mira is beautiful on its own. Mirelle/Mirella, Amira, or Miriam would be adorable with the nickname Mira.

Thank you, FredaCat, for the suggestions. I had never considered Mira as a shortened form of Miriam before, but I love it! I also really, really love the sound of Amira. That is beautiful!

P.P.S. That second Amira should be Emira. Sorry.
I’ve never heard the name Mirelle before. Is it a real name??? It’s beautiful!

I looked it (Mirelle) up for you and, yes, it is a real name. It is Latin from Hebrew, and it means "Jehovah has said."

Mirelle is a real name, but it may just be a shorter version of Mireille. My sister named her daughter Mirelle and we call her Mira or Miri for short.

Personally, I think Mira can totally stand on its own! It’s the name of a star in the constellation Cetus. From the names the other posters have said, I like Miriam, Casimira, Amira, and Mireille. Besides for the names already mentioned, here are some possibilities:
-Mireia (Catalan: mee-RE-uh, form of Virgin Mary)
-Mirela (Croatian, Romanian form of Mireille)
-Mirele (Yiddish: MEER-eh-leh)
-Mireya (Spanish)
-Mirella (Italian form of Mireille)
-Miren (Basque form of Maria)
-Mirinda (Esperanto: mee-REEN-dah)
-Mirja (Finnish: MEER-yah)
-Mirjam (German, Dutch, Finnish, etc.: MEER-yahm)
-Mirjana (Serbian, Croatian, Slovene form of Miriam)
-Mirna (Croatian, Serbian)
-Miroslava (yes, a little out there; Russian, Czech, Slovak, Croatian, Serbian: mee-rah-SLAV-ah)
-Mirsada (Bosnian)
-Mirta (Croatian, Italian)
-Mirthe/Myrthe (Dutch: MEER-teh)
-Miruna (Romanian)
-Myrinne (Ancient Greek)
-Myrine/Myrina (queen of the Amazons)
-Mireia (Catalan: mee-RE-uh, form of Virgin Mary)
-Mirela (Croatian, Romanian form of Mireille)

Great. Glad you’re getting ideas to kick around.
But it’s Mireille ("meer-AY-uh"), not Mirelle ("mur-EL"). I suppose if someone looked up Mirelle and found it was legit (for lack of a better term) then that’s fine. Just wanted to make sure you had the full range of options. :0)

Ah, I see. Thanks. I’ll go over these with my hubby tonight and see what he thinks. Thanks everyone!!
