Stick with Braxton

I think it’s a boy spelling because it’s a boy name...
But if you’re dead set on it.. I’d go Braxtyn. The "y" makes it a little feminine :) good luck!

I agree it is a boy’s spelling because it is a boy’s name and not even a good boy name. Not to mention the whole Toni Braxton thing.

If you want to use the name, at least go with the traditional spelling so it won’t be misspelled all the time.

When I here the name Braxton I think a little boy. What about Braylee or Braelyn?

It does look like a boys name. but if you use it.. go with Braxton. please do not add the ’y’. Why is th ’Y’ always used when someone whats to make something unique? It ’s cheap. and isn’t unique when EVERYONE is using the ’Y’ and an alternate vowel.

If you have to explain that it is a name for a girl, it is a bad idea. You should be able to tell on paper ( in your native country at least) whether or not the name you are reading/calling belongs to a male or female

Not really into the whole boy names for girls/ girl names for boys.. How about Brooke or Belle?

Braxton is completely masculine, whichever way you decide to spell it. If you like unisex names on girls then how about Avery, Piper or Harper?

I am due in Feb and we are thinking about Braxtyn for our little girls name! Years ago, no one would have accepted names like "Ryan" for a girl but now it’s acceptable...were just ahead of the curve :-) negative opinions don’t matter to me.

My 3 year olds name is Braxtyn. She is such a girly girl and her name completely fits here which I’m glad for. We always have to tell people who only see her name on paper that she is a female though. They always assume she is a male.... It’s a super cute name and I absolutely love it despite others opinions

I love Braxton/Braxtyn for boy and a girl name. Whatever my first child is boy or girl I will name Braxton/Braxtyn. girl: Braxtyn boy: Braxton

My sons name is Braxtyn. Paired with his middle name I think it’s a perfect name. My husband helped pick it out and now it’s more special because my hubby passed away last year. Brax is 7 years old and I never heard anyone else named that

My daughter is almost 2 and her name is Braxtyn Teal. I thought she was the only girl names Braxtyn and spelled that way too. I’m so glad to see she isn’t. I absolutely love her name and it fits her so well. There isn’t any other name on earth that would fit her better. She is definetly a Braxtyn. Wouldn’t change her name for the world. And for all the neg ppl U really should think before you type...

For those of you who used the name Braxtyn for a girl what middle name did you use?

I chose Braxtyn for my little boys name and love it. Wouldn’t change it. Yeah, for a while there people would spell it Braxten or Braxton but people do get used to it. We also get compliments about the name. And there’s always criticism with everything you do in life. We take it as a grain of salt because everyone is allowed to have their opinion. When I had my daughter, we named her Payton so at least both had a "y"! I’m glad I made these decisions. And wouldn’t of changed them. :)
At the end of the day, it’s your choice, stick with it!

My daughter’s name is Braxton Elizabeth and we always get compliments on how cute her name is and it completely fits her. We call her "B" or Braxie for short!

My daughter is 17 and her name is Braxtan. I love her name. We, too, call her Braxie for short sometimes.

My daughters name is Braxtyn Michaela. I also get compliments on her name all the time she is 17 months and it fits her perfectly.
