Baby Name Poll Results

Sydney( most common spelling) Jade vs. Sydnee Jade vs. Sydni (least common spelling) Jade
I made a poll last night looking for an S name. I have chosen Sydney. Though I’m not sure on spelling. To me they all look fine and I looked them up on the SSA site and have all been used in the top 1000. Please just look at the name itself and not just vote for the "original" and don’t say well she’ll have to correct people. Most can’t even spell my name correctly nor my last name. And it really doesn’t bother me to correct people. Any way please help me choose.
The Top Baby Name is...
Sydney( most common Jade
Sydnee Jade
Sydni (least common Jade

Poster 1- She very much could like the unique spelling vs not liking having the generic spelling. I personally have the normal spelling of my name and wished I had a more unique spelling.

I voted for Sydney because I don’t really like double ’ee’ endings and I think the ’i’ ending just looks a bit incomplete.
I also like the spelling Sydnie? For me it’s more unusual than Sydney but more complete than Sydni and I just think it looks nicer than Sydnee.
I still prefer Sydney, but I tend to prefer the more common spelling of names.

I didn’t say she wouldn’t like, I said you can’t know. I know all kinds of people with creatively spelled names. Some like it, some don’t. But they all tell me at times it can be a hassle to spell their names. So based on that I often vote for traditional spellings because I personally think it is better to avoid the hassle.

I like the spelling of Sydni. It’s unique and she very well could like her name being spelled differently. It’s a legitimate spelling because my autocorrect didn’t try to change it

Poster of the poll here.
I too like "original/traditional" spellings. But it’s just like the name Britany. You can spell that many ways. Of even Elliott for a boy. You can also spell that many ways. It’s not like I am putting in letters that don’t belong of throwing in extra letters. (Sidiney) or (sydniey) get what I mean. These are all legit spellings ( Sydney, Sydni, Sydnee and even the said Sydnie) at the end of it all I do see people only liking the Sydney because that’s what they are used to. And that’s ok. My favorite is the double e and I’m not sure why. And no it’s not a big hassell like you think to have to correct someone on spelling a name. I know many people who can’t spell certain last names right.
Thank you all for your input.

I have good friends named Ryleigh, Karleigh, Kelsi, and Sydnee. They all actually love their names, the only complaint I’ve heard is Kelsi wished her named was with a C instead of S.

Sydney -- from a surname which was a variant of the surname SIDNEY. This is the name of the largest city in Australia, which was named for Thomas Townshend, 1st Viscount Sydney in 1788. Since the 1990s this name has been mainly feminine.

To me the last option with the I looks a little confusing, like maybe a variation of the name Cindy. But Sydney or Sydnee (or even Sidney) would be fine with me.
