Sailor Imogen Primrose vs. ?

Baby girl due Christmas time, my husband and I have always been fond of slightly unusual names. We have a 4 year daughter, Ivy Pandora Alice and a 2 year old son, Noah Freddie Maxwell. We have both loved the name Sailor since we were pregnant with Ivy, and would most definitely would have been Noah’s name if he was a girl. However some family members aren’t too keen on the name so we’re just looking for some outside opinions. Her middle name will be Imogen Primrose. Thanks, Blare

I have to say that I’m not a big fan of Sailor. I love Imogen Primrose though.
Ivy and Noah are lovely names that are also a bit more common so I think something more in keeping with that style would be nice.

That being said, if you really love the name Sailor it’s not the worst thing ever. I would be inclined to do Imogen Sailor Primrose, but if you really love Sailor and would regret not using it as a first name, then you should use it.

I feels a bit over the top, especially next to her siblings names. I think Sailor would make a better middle name than a first name in this instance. I also wouldn’t do two unusual word names in one name, as I think that it makes it sound a little silly. But its up to you.

I like the Imogen Primrose part. It has a sweet vintage, British-y feel to it. Never been a fan of Sailor, though.

I have never been a big fan of Sailor, and I have known someone by this name. However, this is your daughter and not anyone else’s. If both you and your husband love it then use it.
I do adore the Imogene Primrose.

Sailor is tacky and not pretty at all, sorry. And it definitely doesn’t fit in with such wonderful names like Ivy and Noah, which by the way aren’t very unusual names.

Imogen Primrose is really great, Sailor however is truly ridiculous, no idea how people came to think it a proper name when it really is not.
