I always thought that Sofia was a more Latin spelling, working in Spanish or Portuguese speaking countries. Sophia is the Greek spelling, and is also used in places where the ph makes the f sound, like France (although Sophie is technically the French variation) But I’d trust behind the name, so the last poster said both can work, so I’d go with that. Personally, my preference changes pretty regularly but I’m liking Sofia or Sophie today.
