Why do people go by initials? vs. Anyone know why?
Why do some people go by intials? I was just wondering. I really like initial names but I am wondering why parents call kids by initials....it seems like it is mostly boys or men who go by their initials.

because if they have a long name it might be easier and that could be their nickname, or some people don’t like their names so they get called by their initials, a writer might go by initials because it sounds kinda mysterious, i would but i don’t have a middle name!

some do bc they have the same name as their father grand father ect.

I know a family and the father’s name is Thomas James. They named the son Thomas James Jr. The father goes by Tom and instead of the son going by Tommy, he goes by TJ. Some people think it less confusing if the child goes by initials when naming the child after the father. Some people dislike their name and would rather go by initials or even their middle name. I know a few people that dislike their first name and go by their middle name.

It happens a lot with family names. My son goes by JJ as a nickname since his full name is Jonathan James. I love his name, but he’s named after both of his grandfathers (John and James) so I didn’t want to use the nickname Jon or Jim, and yet I also didn’t want to go with Nate or something completely different, either. And I like initials for a nickname... it’s pretty common in my family.

i just loved the nn AJ so i named my son Aidan James and he goes by both Aidan and AJ....whereas his friend CJ uses a nn because hes stuck being Cosmo Justice

My names kimberly-brooke anselmo so i usually have people usually call me kb. but sometimes they just call me brooke. it rly just depends. for me i think it sounds better and cooler but it also helps because of my long name.
