Helios vs. Elios vs. Elio

I recently found the name Helios and fell in love with it! What do you think of it? Which variant do you like most? Would it be better suited as a first or middle name? I personally love Helios/Elios nn Leo or Elio. Thoughts?

I can see Elio ("AY-lee-o") on a boy. It’s the Italian form of Helios / Aelios. I’m not sure about the others though. Helios would get a lot of teasing about helium balloons, no?

For a girl, I’ve always thought Helianthe (= sunflower) is kind of neat. Good luck! :0)

Leo or Eli are good. I’m just not really a fan of those names. But Justina is very pretty

Oh how I wish I was having a girl just so I can use Helianthe! That’s beautiful. Sunflowers are my fav and we considered Mirasol before finding out the sex because it means sunflower.

Buuut for my little Mister, I love Xan names like Xander and Xandros. Is Xander Helios handsome?

Also to my knowledge, isn’t Helios pronounced Ay lee os too? Silent H?
