As much as I dislike unisex names on girls, I hate when someone says that a girl needs a "girly" name. I grew up a tomboy and I am so thankful my parents didn’t give me a girly name but a unisex one that also has a unisex nickname. I feel my name is much more fitting to my personality.

With that said, I think you should definitely use Finley. Finley Rose is very nice and even if she doesn’t like the more masculine first name, she could always fall back on Rose.

If your in the US, Finley is more common a girl’s than boys.

I know that names ending in the Lee sound get stuck on girls I’m a big unisex fan but in this case I don’t like it, it will get shortened to Finn which isn’t attractive on a girl.

I`m not a fan of the name Finley for a girl

Finley is okay for a toddler or grade schooler. In adulthood, it’s hard to picture that name at the top of a resume and have it be seen as credible.

PLEASE do not name your daughter Finley. It is way too masculine for a girl....and this is coming from someone who thinks the majority of unisex names sound feminine.
