Yes, her second cousin’s name being Kara is fine. Cara-Lee is a very cute name, and if it would get mispronounced, I don’t imagine it happening too often. Good luck!

I don’t know if you’re intending on pronouncing Cara-Lee as "car-uh-lee" or "care-uh-lee". There might be an issue there.

I don`t think people will call her Carly. I would go with the feminine spelling of Lee which is Leigh. Also is Cara, Car-uh or Care-uh? Will she see her cousin alot if so go with a different name. If not it is fine.

Car-uh, the lee spelling is for a family member, would it matter if we change the spelling do you think? And no we’d rarely see her 2nd cousin Kara

I like the spelling of Cara-Lee, but if you genuinely prefer Cara-Leigh or another spelling, then go for it!

I don’t think ppl will call her Carly, because there’s an a at the end of Cara. Main confusion will be whether it is pronounced Car-a or Care-a. I suppose that’s regional. It’s pretty. Go for it. I also like Kar-a-Leen. Karaleen.

I have a mutual friend of a friend named Karylee. She’s not called Carly. I don’t think people would call Cara-Lee, Carly.

Just use Carly. Cara-Lee sounds odd to me and when said quickly it sounds even more weird. Plus Kara and Cara are too similar even though Lee would be tacked onto Cara.

I know a woman named Caralee but pronounced care-uh-lee. I don’t like the sound of Cara-Lee said car-uh-lee, sorry. It doesn’t sound like someone just saying Carly wrong. Use one or the other, just Cara or just Lee(I would personally change it to Leigh, spellings of family names don’t have to be the same, my daughter is named Bridget after my mom, Bridgette and there is no issue), or just use Carly/Carlee.

CAR-uh-lee does sound like someone is saying Carly wrong. I also would pronounce it CARE-uh-lee on instinct. I like the suggestion of Coralie. Personally, I would shorten it to Cara, because where I live double names aren’t common so they sound off to me. That may be different depending on where you’re from.

I like Cara-Lee. Maybe Lee-Cara would nix the Carly problem. I personally like Lee better than the trendy pointless letter filled Leigh. Add an s and it’s prn like slay....Lee is simple and gorgeous.

Cara-Leana maybe?
