I think Saige gives the name a clear feminine edge since it can also be used for boys.

I like Sage and Paige - and ONLY as boys names. They feel dated and tired on girls.

Paige-Becauae Page spelling just reminds me of books or letters etc...
Also
I didn't chose Saige/Sage because well, it's a spice and I'm not one who likes names that belong to a food like sage or olive or to a career like pilot, sailor, etc...
