What about EllaMia? Capitalize the M so that when she is in school the hyphen isn't confusing? I personally would spell it Ella Mia.

I think Ella Mia, no hyphen and not combined (with or without capitals) looks best. There are little girls out there called names like Mary Elizabeth or Lucy Maria (double barrelled but not with a hyphen or just combined) so Ella Mia seems like the neatest way to do it and there's no reason for it to be confusing.
