Anaïs vs. Anais
Hi there. this name is pronounced ann-nai-EES. We're pretty sure that Anaïs is the technically "correct" way to say it, But its a lot of hassle. I have to always use my touch keyboard on my laptop and hold down the eye to get the umlaut, and half of the time, it autocorrects to Anais anyway. Should we just spell it Anais?

I think you're better off with Anais as the spelling. I think most people will be able to figure out the pronunciation without the umlaut, and it would be a big pain to use it (and lets be honest, 99% of the time other people will ignore it)

Anaïs gmv. The diaeresis is half the charm of the name.
But I don't think it really matters. As with Zoë, Chloë, Desirée, etc., the accent mark is honored in the pronunciation even if it isn't there. Good luck! :0)
