Devin makes the most sense for the pronunciation dev-IN. Devon is my stepson's name and he gets called de-VON a lot! Devan is okay but looks a bit like de-VAN in spelling tho I don't think anyone wouldn't know that is was pronounced like dev-in. Devin gmv. GL

Devon looks like Devonne to me. Devan or Devin would gmv.

Thanks! I like the name but for some reason I hate ANY name with an i in it. Don't know why and can't explain it. Would Deven be horrible?

Devin is Irish for "poet". This is my favorite spelling.

Devon is a place name in southern England.

Both spellings are correct. I would advise against using the Devan spelling.

Depends I think for boy or girl. Mine is spelled Devon (I am female), but I was named after a tv character on a show called Midnight Caller and that is how it was spelled. But, a girl I went to school with spelled hers Devyn, and both our names were pronounced the same way.

Devin!! I agree Devon looks too much like Devonne and Devan is just wrong.
