Grey/GIRL vs. middle name vs. First name

We really love the name Grey but can't decide if we should use it as a first name or a middle name. If we use it as a first name her middle name will be Charlotte but we don't want to use Charlotte as a first name if we use Grey for the middle name because of it's popularity. If you vote middle name do you have some first name suggestions that would flow well with Grey? Thanks!

My best friend named her daughter Addison Grey and her nn is Addie Grey. Grey Charlotte seems off to me and I think going a route like Addie Grey would be the best option. Some suggestions...

If you love Grey as a first name, go for it - Grey Charlotte is nice.

I'm not a fan of it for a first name but weirdly I love it for a middle. I think with a pretty first name it has a nice whimsical feel.

Middle name for sure and I would spell it Gray. The 'a' gives it a more feminine feel.

I think the a gives the name which is a surname also not just a color a more masculine look than with an e. Grey is mostly used on girls and gray is used on boys more from what I've seen. I absolutely love Gray and it's my baby boys name. Grey goes with every name !
