The y is pointless. Most people hear a name and don't see it. If they spell it, it is going to be without a y. She will always have to say no there is a y in there. And that has to grow annoying.

I personally prefer this kind of names without the Y. One of my friends has a Jayne and other friend has a Layne and I love the sound, but I think the spelling looks much better without it. Lane, Jane and same goes for Blake. Like it anyway though!

Blayke doesn't make the name look more feminine it just makes you look illiterate and the name look tacky. Just spell it Blake.
