Irish-Italian vs. Girls Names
Hi There! My husband and I are expecting our first child together, but I have two children from a previous marriage-- Giulia and Dominic. We want this baby's name to fit with her half-siblings, which are clearly Italian, but my husband is very Irish, so he's wanting an Irish name for her. Can you think of any names that might be a good mix and sound good with my older children? Help!! Thank you! -The Sullivans

Interesting post! I love the names of your children. What I see is that both Giulia and Dominic are three syllables. They both have a lot of vowels ( in fact, both names have two i's). So another name with 3 or 4 vowels in it could look good alongside them. Or, for a boy, a name with an n in it might sound nice next to Dominic. So, for a girl:
Aine (Anya)
Aileen/Aileen
Brianna
Caitlin
Deirdre
Fiona
Sinead
Siobhan
Tierney
Boy:
Ciaran/Kieran
Colman
Dillon
Kevin
Liam
Pierce
Quintana
Quinn
Reilly

I know I'm late to the party, but I had to add my two pence: Cara.
Cara means "dear one" in Italian ("KAHR-uh") and friend in Irish ("KA-ruh")(short "a" as in cat, cap). It's a two-fer.
If you pronounced it "KEHR-uh" it would bridge the gap. Good luck! :0)
