Luca vs. Lucah vs. Lucas

We really love the name Luca but we are worried that in the future, our son will end up having a feminine name because very common boys names are being used on girls. We don't want our son to get teased for having a 'girls name'. We thought about maybe adding an H so it didn't end in an A but we feel that it would be pushing it a bit. Lucas is another option that we like but we definitely like Luca more. I posted yesterday about your thoughts on Luca and everyone seemed to like it but I thought I would do another poll with more options. Anyway, thanks for voting and have a good day/night.

I wouldn't worry about it. My sons have unisex names Riley and Avery and they've never been teased. No one cares. I've known so many people with unisex names and it was a big deal. I have male and female friends named Shannon and Aubrey.

I'd go with Luca.I don't think that many girls are being named Luca. Every boys name has the possibility of becoming a girls name.

Just use Luca, since you both love it. Like Teri said, every boys name has a chance of being used for girls.

Luca isn't used on girls. It's not in the top 1000 for the US anyway.

Lucah looks a little more masculine, if you're really worried about it, but Luca is fine.

You could use Lucas and call him Luca, that way if anything happens to the name (such as becomes more feminine) he'll have lucas nn Luke to fall back on.
