Soleil vs. Soley

Looking for a middle name meaning sun for a girl.Has to start with Letter S.I like Soleil i hear its just a word meaning sun in french and Soley an Icelandic name im not so sure if it means sun or butter cup.Help! Any info on these names and what u think of them?

What about Solis? Pronounced like sole-is, it is Latin for sun!

I think you mean the Icelandic/Norwegian girls name SOLVEIG pronounced SOOL-vie or SOOL-vay, meaning strength of the sun. The spelling you have is the English word for on your own/alone.
