Nora(h) James vs. Anna James vs. Ada James
I know it isn't a popular choice - but I'd love to just my father's name as a middle for my baby if it's a girl. He's a 3rd and didn't have a son. I'd like to call her by the double barrel name, if possible. But, I could see using initials or just the first as well.
Another middle option I love if we don't go with my dad's name is Kate. :)
The Top Baby Name is...
Nora(h) James Wilson
Anna James Wilson
Ada James Wilson

Nora James is actually stunning imo. I could see that being a double name as you said or just calling her Nora. GL!

You could use Jamie as her middle name. Since it is popularly used as a nickname for James. I understand the meaning it has to you but using a boy name on a girl just makes the whole thing trashy to me despite meaning, sorry. Jane is the female form of James. Jamesina is the Scottish feminine form of James and is kind of a lot closer than Jane. Ada is my favorite of your first name options though! Ada Jamie, Ada Jane, or Ada Jamesina would be nice. Ada Kate is also pretty. Good luck!

I really don't like the name Jamie. Jane is okay but if I'm not using his name, I'd rather just use another all together.
James King is a female model with the name James so it being used for a female isn't unprecedented. Many names once considered make are now completely female - Ashley, Lindsey, Leslie. Others like Elliot & Spencer are also being used a lot on girls. Or, maybe we're all just trashy too. ;)

I personally don't see the appeal of male names on girls and wouldn't ever even put a strictly male family name on a girl. This includes new "unisex" names like Blake. I find it tacky even if there is meaning behind the name. Soon we won't have male names only unisex and female. I mean, would anyone even consider naming their son Amelia or Sophia? I have no control over what male names were turned unisex back in my great grandmother's day but my view is that just because they did it back then doesn't mean we need to continue it now.
Anyways, Norah Kate gets my vote.

Also names like Ashley, Lindsey, and Leslie aren't "completely female" they are just unisex names that are now more common on females than they are on males. Just to add.

Spencer - I love your name! I wanted to use it but my husband isn't a fan of it for a girl. I first heard it on a girl on Pretty Little Liars and I think it's fabulous. :)
I do know a male Ashley & a male Leslie. So, they're not 100% female but I'm sure the assumption is there when their name is on a piece of paper.

Lindsey-because of that my parents as a second name for me the name Katie and to my sister middle name Emily so we could have that option when we'll grow up but both I and my sister love our names so our second names are there for safety for when we write our name on paper no one thinks that is a boy.
