Luca vs. Lucas

Hi everyone! We are still trying to decide our sons name! We have decided on Gabrielle Genevieve for the girl and now we need a boy’s name! I like Luca, but none of my other kids had italian names so I was wondering if that would look weird. I also know another boy Luca, and I can’t find his name on a pen or stickers anywhere! But, I really like it. Lucas is an option too. Nicholas is a possibility aswell, but we don’t like it as much as these too. Other kids are Isaac and Naomi, if that helps. Thanks so much!

I love the name Luca and Lucas i think that you will not look weird for naming him Luca (Italian Name) as it is a popular name for Australians and Americans now!

Luke is the strongest and most masculine in my opinion, and sounds best with Isaac and Naomi.

Lucas nickname Luke definitely. Lucas will work better in the business world than Luke, but Luke is a great strong nickname and cute when he is little. I like Luca, but I think it sounds a bit girly, a least it might in the eyes of his peers in elementary school. I think Lucas goes best with your other kids names and goes GREAT with Gabrielle. Actually, Lucas and Gabrielle is one of the best b/g twin combos I think I’ve seen on here in a long time.

I love the name Luca and I wouldn’t automatically think "Italian" so I think it would be fine no matter what your ther kids name are....but prefer Nicholas :o) What about Nicholas Luca?
