Hey everybody, I like the o-ih sound in Lois but for some reason I just don't like Lois. Are there any other names similar to Lois? The only ones I can think of is Louise, Eloise, or Lotus.

So this is really off the deep end, but there is a boy's name with the oh-ih sound in it.
Aloysius is how it is spelled (unless you want to create your own spelling). It is pronounced Al (short A sound, like the name Al) -o-ISH-us. I happen to like the name, but it does take a pretty unique taste.
I knew a woman named Lewissa (lou-ISS-uh). I don't know if that's something her parents made up or if it's just really obscure.
For names with the -iss ending sound, there's Carys, Maris, Paris, Alice, Genesis; Dennis
For names with the Lo- beginning sound, there's Lolita, Lola, Lora; Logan
Owen and Rowan have the oh-in vowel sounds.
