Jaska or Jasna vs. Alanza/Alynza vs. Alesska/Calaya
I like unusual names. Which are better? Jasna is a Yugoslavian name and is pronounced: Jazz-na, similar to Jasmine which is too popular, and Jaska is another alternative to Jessica and Jasmine but would everyone think I’m saying Jessica and I’d have to always correct people? My next favourite is Alesska but would it be too similar to the child’s half-sister, Alyssa, who lives in another province and whom the child would rarely see?
The Top Baby Name is...
Jaska or Jasna
Alanza/Alynza
Alesska/Calaya

None are my style, sorry. They’re too unusual for me I guess, and look/sound a little weird, sorry. What about Jana/Jessamine/Alana/Alina/Allegra/Calla/Kaya?

Oh and as for the Alesska/Alyssa problem, I think it would be perfectly fine to use Alesska because you don’t see the child that often. Plus,e ven though they sound similar, they aren’t the same name. And even if they were the same name, I see nothing wrong with it.

The person I know named Jasna told me it was Yugoslavian so that’s why I said that. Actually it’s Yasna but in English the y is changed to J.
