Arica would be your best bet. I want to pronounce Arika as uh-REEK-uh... Arica is alright but Erica would just be so much better on so many levels. I despise cre8tiv spellings.

The K is better than the C because Arica looks like you misspelled Africa.

Erica. "Creative" spellings tend to create quite a bit of hassle. 99 times out of 100, it's better to stick with a name's original spelling. Unless the actual spelling could cause problems. For instance, Christophe would be a better choice than Krysztof. There's no need to spell Emily as Emmylee, however. Or on the flip side, take my name. The original spelling is Haley; however mine is spelled as "Hailey". I think it looks good that way but there's nothing wrong with the original spelling either. It doesn't bother me to have to correct people on the spelling, but to each their own. Might want to at least consider that

My name is Arika. My mother was Kira, and my grandfather was Arik (Kira backwards). Which is also Scandinavian. Hopefully you didn't listen to these that told you not to name her Arika, as I have been blessed to have a unique meaningful name my entire life.
