Names like vs. Larkspur
Me again :). I've decided Larkspur is probably too unique for a girl to pull off in real life so I'm in search of names like it. Someone on my last poll suggested Larkin Adair, which I like but I worry it's too masculine so I also thought of Larkin Adele. Not sold on Larkin yet though. I'm looking for names similar in style to Larkspur, along with thoughts on Larkin Adele/Adair. I don't like Lark on its own. Thank you for all your help!

What about Laken or Laiken? It sounds very similar to Larkin, just a little more feminine.

I can't use Laken since it was the name of a childhood friend and while I'm not still close to her, I have friends who are, and I think it's too much. I like the name though and it's a nice thought.

I don't like Lark or Larklyn. Lark sounds incomplete to me and Larklyn is a mouthful. I'm looking for something similar in style to Larkspur.
Also, @Guest #1, I'm aware that Larkin is a form of Laurence, that's why I feel it might be too masculine with Adair.

Are you looking for something that starts with an L/sounds like Larkspur or just a name with the same uniqueness?

@Guest18, I like Amaryllis but I don't want it shortened to Amy. Would that be inevitable?
@Sophie, I want a name with the same uniqueness or perhaps something that would go with Larkspur as a middle name.

I don't think anyone would call her Amy for short but you never know with people.

@FredaCat, I like Linnea, and Lilith is a GP of mine but I don't know if it's usable. Lorenzo is a favorite of mine for a boy but I can't use it.
Thanks!

Oops ie -- autocorrect turned Lorenza into Lorenzo. Sorry I didn't catch that earlier. Could Lorenza work for you?
Thanks for all the feedback. Glad you're getting ideas. :0)

You might like Twila/Twyla.
I love the suggestion of Amaryllis. I have seen one person on this site with an Amaryllis nn Amy (It caught my eye b/c we are considering that if we have a girl.) But I think it's anything but obvious. I doubt anyone would shorten it to Amy unless you told them too. I've also seen others comment nicknames of Mary (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me) and Rilla (which makes a lot more sense to me). You could come up with other nicknames, but you don't need a nickname either. I've never met one in real life and the flower always gets called by its full name.
