Mona, Monie or Siggy

Mo is the only logical nickname I can think of for Simone. I also knew a Maureen nn Mo who was on my sister's softball team as a kid. But there's no need to have a nickname at all. Simone isn't too long or complicated. Just call her Simone, and if Mo or something else seems to feel right after she's here, go with it. I had a nickname planned for my oldest daughter but it never stuck- she just never responded to it and no one else picked up on it either. So she's gone pretty much exclusively by her full name (3 syllables), with the exception of a different nickname developed by her younger sister when learning to talk, which is just an at-home family nickname. She's her full name to everyone else. I wouldn't worry too much about the nickname dilemma at this stage.
