I think Jessalyn is nicer than Jesslyn. I think it is cute especially since it is in honor of her mother and grandmother.

Sure you can fuse two names and make it work! But if you are looking for another option, what about Jessamine (a French/Persian name according thinkbabynames.com) or Jessalyn? Both of those are pretty. But I think Jesslyn is very nice.

Lots of names that people have come to love are names that are fused like Annemarie, Rosemary, Maryanne, Marianna and the list goes on. I think that the best way to go is Jessilyn. I like Jessilyn Faith :)

It’s not that bad...I just think it looks like you put Jessica and Lynn together that’s all...where as Annemarie and Rosemary are actual names, the results of the fused names but still actual names. Jesslyn just looks made up, but I didn’t mean to say it was that bad...it could probably grow on me!

No, it’s not bad at all! I like it. Don’t let a few anonymous comments shake your confidence about it. If you like it, go for it. I like the previous poster’s idea of Jessilyn also.

I like Jessalyn. It is still combining the two names, but it could grow better with her. I also donk like Kayleigh with it. But, Jessalyn Marie is really pretty.

My name is Jesslyn..or messy-jessy when I was little. I’m 22 and love my name now, it’s very unique..though growing up I never used to like it because I would get "jessy-lyn" "jessa-lyn" or "jocelyn." I have never met anyone with the same name. I’ve had someone I went to Jr high school with name their daughter Jesslyn. I would recommend it :) I’m glad my parents didn’t give me some plain common name like Jocelyn or Jazmine..

My name’s Jesslyn and I’m 18, I love my name because it’s not pronounced Jesslyn, it’s pronounced Jezzlyn which is very unique. The only annoying thing is, I have to repeat myself 3 or 4 times before someone gets it right. I love the fact that I haven’t met anyone with the same name. I’d love to give my daughter it as a middle name too (or first). Many just call me Jess/Jezz to make it easier and I agree with Jesslyn above, I’d hate to have a common name like Jocelyn!

My name is Jesslyn as well. I agree with the 2 Jesslyn's above me. It is very unique and I think it's definitely different. I know I've always strongly disliked the name because of it's uniqueness and since I will never find my name on a keychain or coffee mug. I also find it every annoying when one pronounces it wrong, and a common nickname for me is Jess. People assume since people call me Jess, I'm a Jessica or something of the sort. I have never met a Jesslyn that I can remember.

Ever since the third grade when I read a book with one of the characters names being Jesslyn I've always been obsessed with this name because it is just so beautiful! I hope to name my daughter Jesslyn one day. My favorite middle name suggestions are Jesslyn Kennedy(my top choice), Jesslyn Amelia, Jesslyn Charlotte, Jesslyn Violet and Jesslyn
