To me it's both feminine and masculine. I would use the spelling row-an for both

I actually think Rowan is the male version, and Rowen is the female version. I acknowledge that it's unisex, but I really don't hear it for a girl, unless it's spelled Rowen. (Because of names like Elowen, or Wendy. I think the E adds the needed femininity) Rowin just looks wrong, imo.

I like Rowan a lot for a boy. I don't like it for a girl. Alternative spellings are no good.

Rowan is the traditional spelling and has become a unisex name. GL!
